Our Pastors

Pastor Robert Reeise was saved at the age of 16. He was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, while living in the Peoria, Illinois area. Pastor Reeise's family moved to a suburb of Peoria and it was there that a church member of Oak Grove Baptist Church invited him to services. He heard the gospel on a morning service in December of 1969 and responded to the invitation and was born again. Pastor Reeise's original plans were to go to college and become an electronic engineer and hopefully work for NASA. He was challenged to seek God's will for his life while a senior in high school. While reading the New Testament, the Lord called him to preach with John 15:16. Many things changed in his life and he left for college after high school graduation.

Pastor Reeise attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Pastoral Studies in 1976. He and his wife Monika have just completed 30 years of marriage and ministry together. The Reeises has served as a Youth Pastor and Assistant while in college and also full time. In 1986 the Reeises took their first Pastorate in Ottawa, Illinois. After 8 years the Lord led them to Lewistown, Illinois where he taught school and pastored First Baptist Church of Lewistown. The Lord gave Pastor Reeise a burden for a Christian School and God led him to Easley, South Carolina. They have been serving here for the last 8 years.

While in college Pastor Reeise traveled as an evangelist with Neighborhood Bible Time. It was there he began to learn Gospel Illusions and how to make balloon animals. The Lord used this while in college and also during his youth pastorate. For the last 5 years Pastor Reeise has traveled to various mission fields giving the gospel to children and adults with several hundreds making professions. The Reeises have been blessed with 3 children all serving the Lord.

My name is Dennis Whitehead and I work part time here at Faith Baptist Church as the Music Pastor and as an Assistant to Pastor Reeise. I also have a full time job at Comfortaire Mattress in Greenville, SC.

Around 7 years ago, while attending Bob Jones University, I began coming to Faith on Sunday mornings to help out in Children’s church. Three years after I began helping out, Pastor Reeise asked me if I would like to be the choir director. My major in college was Pastoral Studies with a Music minor so it was a great opportunity for me to get some experience with a church choir. I had not intended on staying here at Faith after I graduated, but the Lord had other plans. After I was married in August of 2003 the Lord led us to stay here at Faith.

I give thanks to the Lord that He led my wife and me to Faith Baptist Church.
